KIE Montessori Teachers
KIE Montessori teachers typically have an Early Childhood Education teacher qualification as well as an additional Montessori specific training.
The most important attribute of a KIE teacher is the love and respect she holds for each child's total being.
A KIE teacher is a guide or facilitator whose task it is to support the young child in his or her process of self-development. They are foremost an observer, unobtrusively yet carefully monitoring each child's development, recognizing and interpreting each child's needs.
A KIE teacher provides a link between the child and the prepared KIE environment, introducing the child to each piece of equipment when he or she is ready in a precise, clear and enticing way.
The KIE Montessori assistant’s role is to support the teacher and promote peace and order in the classroom. They value and respect the uniqueness of each child while consistently nurturing and modeling a love of learning. The assistant is a keen observer and is knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate behavior and practices and supports the individual needs and interests of the children.
KIE Montessori Management
KIE Montessori management team is dedicated to an education that provides optimum stimulation during the sensitive periods of childhood.
KIE management team is focused on recruiting teachers who take the role of guides, supporting the children without coercion or control, to guide the children along their journey, helping them become well-adapted individuals, ready to take a positive, prosocial place in their world.
KIE management team is focused on creating a curriculum organized around Practical Life activities that develop both independence and social skills; Sensorial activities that refine sensory perception; the development of Spoken Language, Writing and Reading skills; and Mathematical activities that develop fundamental mathematical concepts; as well as activities that reflect upon our human understanding of geography, history, biology, science, music, and the arts.
