KIE International Montessori

Our School

Our School currently serves 2-6 years old children.

Our mission is to meet the individual child’s intellectual, emotional, and physical rigor needs and to guide them in a hands-on atmosphere.

Our Mission

We believe that children are motivated to learn in an environment that speaks to their interests which fit their unique developmental pace. We celebrate each child’s individuality and help them discover how they can best contribute to our world and culture. Our mission is to meet the individual child’s intellectual, emotional, and physical rigor needs and to guide them in a hands-on atmosphere. Children will learn through their mistakes rather than corrections, and this experience will form the foundation to a lifetime of creative and critical thinking skills. Our credentialed and experienced Montessori teachers will provide comprehensive Montessori education to cultivate our student’s independence, his/her foundational skills, social ease and self-confidence. Our Montessori education will promote students to successfully achieve their life goals in future.

Mandarin Program

At KIE Montessori we teach Mandarin as a part of our bilingual program. We employ a fifty-fifty model: 50 percent of instruction is delivered in Chinese and 50 percent in English.

The goal of this language immersion program is to develop not only our students' proficiency in English and proficiency in Mandarin Chinese as a second language, the immersion also provides intercultural competence and academic performance in the content area, at or above expectations.

Our native Mandarin speaking teachers with CTCSOL (Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, also trained in early childhood education, conduct all their classes in Mandarin and design fun-filled activities to introduce young learners to Chinese culture.

Since the language teacher and the content-area teacher are one and the same, our goal is to help children who have little or no exposure to Mandarin Chinese when they enter our program, to be exposed to a much richer palette of language and a more sophisticated range of concepts than they would be in traditional second foreign language programs.

If you think your child would thrive in a Montessori environment, give us a call or schedule a tour online. We would love for you to visit our school and learn more.
